South Central Bloodhound Club (SCBC) was founded in 1996 and incorporated in 2003. The club was organized with a primary goal of education and providing a system for rescuing, adopting or re-homing bloodhounds within a seven state area: Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas.

The SCBC sponsors shows, trailing events, public education events, and other activities to help raise funds for rescue, educate others about this marvelous breed and encourage conscientious pet ownership.

South Central Bloodhound Club is the Regional affiliate of the American Bloodhound Club (ABC).  The ABC is the parent breed club with the AKC for the Bloodhound.
